Anne Hathaway Celebrates 'Princess Diaries' sixteenth birthday

Happy Birthday, Princess Mia Thermopolis of Genovia!

On Thursday, Anne Hathaway shared a clip from The Princess Diaries on her Instagram to celebrate the sixteenth anniversary of the movie. In her post, she wrote, "Happy Birthday Princess (thank you Garry) #sweetsixteen # mia4evah."

The 2001 film, which helped launch Hathaway's Hollywood career, became a instant classic, spawning one of the sequel, The Princess Diaries 2: A Royal Engagement, and an infinite talk of third.

Julie Andrews, who starred as Hathaway's grandmother, Queen Clarisse, in each movie, introduced the fuel to the concept earlier this year while she instructed The nowadays show, "There is a 'sure' if they ask me, Best if it happens of course. "
